Phantom Ruins is an arcade game created using the Construct game-making platform. The game follows Fortune Joseph, a renowned archaeologist who is famous for discovering dinosaur fossils, gemstones, and artifacts from ancient history. In this game, Joseph needs to be greedy enough to escape with the treasures that he has collected from the cursed temple. It's his big chance to become the richest archaeologist in the world!
I developed the game mechanics, sound, and design alongside a team of two other people. Gustavo Prado created the artwork, and Matheus Salles did the sound design. Together, we conceptualized the game, created a Game Design Document, and playtested it.
The game was developed as a part of the "Game Design Principles" course at PUC-Rio under the guidance of Professor Werther Azevedo, who is also the creator of the game "Warlock's Tower".

The main objective of the game is to survive as long as possible while earning coins to defeat your enemies. The game features three different bosses and a progressive system that increases the difficulty level as you collect coins and defeat the bosses.
